In the match played between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians, Mumbai decided to bat first before winning the toss and lost five wickets and set a target of 169 runs. Delhi's team could only manage 128 runs and lose by 40 runs, losing 9 wickets.

Mumbai's three spinners Chahar, Jayant Yadav (25 runs in four overs) and Kunal Pandya (seven runs in one over) got only 51 runs in 10 overs and took 4 wickets.                                         Mumbai Indians have defeated Delhi Capitals by 40 runs. Earlier, while batting, Mumbai scored 168 for five at the end of the innings with the strong batting of Hardik and Kunal Pandya.
